Grinning

Fire within my soul It’s not that beautiful Fire within me…within me… It won’t let me be free… The demons below are grinning The angels above of me are not sinning The demons seem like they’re winning But, in the end, who’s to say they’re winning? Where have I been? I see you and you grin I have felt your sin… Within…my soul… Which is paper thin… I see you and I win Am I still a ten? Captivity won’t let me be free Remedies of happiness does though I am a sparkling sea as can be It empties my sadness to and fro… The demons below are grinning The angels above of me are not sinning The demons seem like they’re winning But, in the end, who’s to say they’re winning? Where have I been? I see you and you grin I have felt your sin… Within…my soul… Which is paper thin… I see you and I win Am I still a ten? I am spinning… As I see you grinning… I see you take wing… Let’s see what happiness will bring… I feel the bees’ sting… You are and will always be my everything I will graciously sing… And do my thing The demons below are grinning The angels above of me are not sinning The demons seem like they’re winning But, in the end, who’s to say they’re winning? Where have I been? I see you and you grin I have felt your sin… Within…my soul… Which is paper thin… I see you and I win Am I still a ten? The demons below are grinning The angels above of me are not sinning The demons seem like they’re winning But, in the end, who’s to say they’re winning? Where have I been? I see you and you grin I have felt your sin… Within…my soul… Which is paper thin… I see you and I win Am I still a ten? I’m possibly losing my mind today I’m replaying the possibilities of yesterday In my brain…in my brain…in my brain I’m going insane on a different lane… Fire within me…within me… It won’t let me be free… The demons below are grinning But, the angels above will take wing
