Grieve Me Not

If I spent my life with you

Could spare me some time too

If I gave me for you

Would you know that is was true

I can't go on without you

Can't make change without a dollar

If I spend some time with you maybe I'd feel taller

Until you knock me right back down again

Could you take a chance and listen

The cries I yell to you

To let you know I wanted only the best for you

If I gave you my world would you destroy that as well

Would you curse me and outcast me and condemn me to hell

If I offered to you my heart from my bleeding chest

Would you try to mend it before it come apart again

Will you be the one to take my last breath in your sight

Could you give me just a moment to make it through the night

Will you be there by my bedside whilst I wither away to bone

Or would you walk off like everyone else just to remind me I am meant to be alone

To me you were everything and gave me reason to breath

Life is so much forgiving to us on the night we leave

Time for me is pointless because I'm only counting grief
