Grief

 Grief is like floating
But more so in the water
It's like yearning for cold
But it keeps getting hotter

Grief is like wanting to stand
But always falling
It's like waiting by the phone
But no one is calling

  Grief is like being exhausted
But you're wide awake
It's a never ending bend
When all of you is wanting to break

   Grief is like an emptiness
Where it once was whole
It's like needing an answer
To a question that nobody knows

   Grief is like silence
When you have so much to say
And once it arrives
It never goes away

Grief is like silence.. so true.. you describe the impact of grief really well.. they say time heals a broken heart, but its never that simple..
