Sweet light of summers eve in slow descent
Invites a star or two, and you, to gaze upon a crescent
Silhouette of moon carved from out a deeper soul.
Like the long soft linger of a lovers kiss
Or touch of gentle finger to the breast,
The night shares its dream and beckons, inviting you
To enter as a guest. Like padded paws upon a pining forest,
Echoes whisper of the coming Greater Appreciation,
Collapsing you inside to form a tear, Its’ silence signifying you are here.
This is where the moment opens, offering a glimpse to but a few.
A true reflection of yourself, to understand the answer that is you.
A part that can see beyond it’s self-imposed boundaries,
To recognize itself within the whole. This is the greatest of epiphanies,
The birth of the Greater Appreciation, encompassing all things made
For us to ponder. Such monumental moving moments tear open
The fabric of our time, and though they come rarely in a lifetime,
Can never be forgotten, for they become the foundation
For the faith that we carry as a knowledge:
That although we have split the atom to release creation’s power,
The human spirit, because it is a part of God, is something
That can never be broken.
