Graving Alone

This weight is great
Heavy upon my soul
Each tear drop is lost
On my wet pillow

Memories now a dream
Sharing is now gone
An empty dinner plate
Filled with only thought’s

Empty hangers in a closet
Our youthful days
Have disappeared
Laughter is now fear

Your greeting message
Still on our phone
A voice I cannot erase
Sitting here alone

A grief I must now embrace
