Grave Grief

My grief is my woe,
To me dear; Not to show,
To my tale of pain
Lend not thy ears in vain.

My desires are my dreams,
Nurtured by my wishes and whims,
To my flight of aspiration
Seek not shreds of reason.

My life is mine to live,
To find its true motive
to God I humbly plead,
Enlighten me ere death succeed!
