Grave
I’m lying here in an empty grave,
The tombstone has my name carved in stone,
Alive, lungs breathing, heart beating,
But my pulse goes unknown.
Above me is my family by blood,
As well as the family I chose,
I’m still alive and suffering,
But nobody knows.
They stand above me,
Throwing dirt on top of my body that lays bare,
Burying me with the dirt of this world’s problems,
Like I was never even there.
