Gratitude Is a Gift

     Gratitude brings such extraordinary peace.
From complaining, without it, there is no surcease.

Gratitude makes the worst messes unfold.
You turn all over to God, let go and be bold!

Gratitude quiets the most arrogant of hearts.
Human angels, fly into your heart and never depart.

Gratitude, for me, is greatest at dawn!
Given another day of life,to walk barefoot on God's most holy lawn!

HI MADELYN, CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST POEM. A WELL DONE ACROSTIC!! I LOVE YOUR LINE ABOUT GRATITUDE...BUBBLING OVER. SUCH IMAGERY..BEING SELFISH AND JUDGEMENTAL PRODUCES A FEELING OF LONELINESS AND SUPERIORIOTY , BOTH. HOPE TO SEE YOUR NEXT ARTISTIC PIECE. PANAGIOTA XX

You are so right; gratitude is the name of the game (of Life). And, like you write, so lovely at dawn. (Gotta learn how to be grateful for that morning snowstorm, myself. lol). Thanks, Pangie, gw

There is so much we should be grateful for in our lives but we often overlook giving thanks to God. Tom

Indeed,...BUT OUR JUDGEMENTS FOG UP OUR GRATITUDE. AND WHO THANKS GOD? NO, WE THANK MUSES? NOT ME. THE MOST GRATEFUL ONE TO HAVE LIVED SO LONG, PANGIE

We ask God for many things, but sometimes fail to offer thanks. A beautiful reminder, Panagiota. And congratulations on your birthday! Hope you have a wonderful one. Hugs, Carolyn
