Gratitude

My son, the strength you possess amazes me
Invincible, a man at sixteen, my babies driving me
Smart and talented, your expression gives away your honesty
A blessing I believe
I pray god watches over you, with a mother’s hand
If need be
Your path will fall on heartbreak, a troubled man with pain and grief
I would endure for thee
Don’t dance with demons
They bring on a system that traps even with a plea
Work hard, lend a hand,
Please always dream that’s key
Don’t take abuse, walk past your enemies
Let it be
Sorry if I’ve let you down
Humans sometimes fail miserably
You are a wonderful person, feel confident with ease
God will pay the fee
Be happy, you’re strong unfortunately
You’re sharp, I’m proud to call you family
Sorrow for your growth, I weep happily
Just know throughout life’s journey
You are loved deeply-
