Grateful Swan
I met a graceful swan
She was graceful and kind
I knew she was genuine
She looked and couldn’t find
I saw a fragile swan
She was fragile and real
I knew she was truthful
She touched but couldn’t feel
I knew a grateful swan
She was grateful and tough
I knew she was honest
She felt but couldn’t bluff
I touched a graceful swan
She was soft as falling snow
I knew she was hurting
She laughed but had to know
I hear a fragile swan
She was sad and loving too
I knew her regrets were hard
She longed to start anew
I feel a powerful swan
She was prideful and tall
I knew she was prevailing
She shook but couldn’t fall
