Grass Snake

Green
Rippling
Appearance
Sinuous and
Sleek

Scales
Nestle
As tongue flicks
Keen to taste the
Earth

Thank you,Noel. Writing alphabetically and within the syllable count was harder than it would at first appear!

I love snakes, Wendy. I do not bring them into the house, but they do not scare me, nor I them. I am grateful to see a positive poem in their honor.

I feel a fraud, now, Caren! I am a wimp when it comes to these creatures but was fine just writing about them at a distance!
