An immaculate Haiku cleverly constructed with an equally clever ending. A lovely flowing structure to it all. Well done, Sara.

"about my roots" oh that's very profound! So much depth in only a few words..dear Sara... Made me think and dive in the sentiments. Beautiful metaphor there.. many although aware of their origin, still tend to search within and find the actual roots that achor the soul.. and that is very resonating for me. Brilliant haiku, my dear! Loved reading this, a favourite. Hugzzzzz

I am honored Hiya, that you would fav this one. Thank you for the uplifting review. I think I would be one who would have like to go back and learn more about my ancestors even if I had not been adopted. Sara K.

Anne-Lise, I did find that some ancestors came from Finland and Russia but mostly British, Walsh, and Irish. Thanks for the nice review. Sara K.

Yes, Paula. A lot of people do that, and it helps to find things that happened to them. Sara K.

This is an excellent Haiku that aims to explore issues of self-discovery and heritage, Sara. The images are amazing. The term "roots" implies a search for one's origins and represents the yearning for personal identity.

Lasaad, I was adopted so I did not have those comments like you have your mother's smile or you have your grandmother's hair. Thanks for the uplifting comments. Sara K.
