Grandma Joyce

We didn’t spend much time together
The time we did I will remember
Once again you’re with your boys and Lyle
Reuniting with them took a while
You held on tight and stayed strong
Before I knew it you were gone
I answered the call that day
The words spoke, “Grandma Joyce passed away”
I cried for the rest of the day
I’m still having a hard time accepting you are gone
Memories of you will always belong
In our hearts where grandmas should be
That’s where you will always be with me
