Grandma
A safe harbor in a raging storm.
A place of comfort, safe and warm.
No harsh words or an upraised hand,
She cares and always understands.
She cooks and cleans with all her might.
She'll fill your belly with treats delight.
No matter how busy or what there's to do,
She'll find ways to make time for you.
If you're lonely, tired, achy or sore,
She'll fix you up, until you hurt no more.
She's bound to teach you right from wrong,
To reinforce what you've learned along.
She's a pillar of strength, faith and grace.
She prays for you daily, just in case.
Her love knows no bounds, earthly or else,
It is her joy, to give of herself.
Thank you Grandma, for the love you give,
I will do my best and try to live
By your set example. There's no doubt,
You ARE what life is all about.
