Very nice, Jay! Am I correct in assuming these branches come from grapes? After the vineyard grape bushes was destroyed by fire in the movie "A Walk through the Clouds," they found a live branch on one bush and used it to recreate their special crop. It had a unique taste, so describing such a branch as a "genetic vineyard" seems appropriate. Excellent senryu! Love, Carolyn
