Goya's Dog Does Drown

Goya's dog does drown
The wave is far too high
With enough struggle, you can swim in salty pain
But when you see the path ahead
You know the dog does die

When the cycle isn't one of life
And every tide grows colder
You can shake, and you can shiver
But eventually within time
Goya's dog does die

I swam the seven seas
And did not learn a thing
I can't even beautifully cry
Even in an era of romance
Goya's dog does die
