Governmental Turnaround
No monetary stipend
Can justify my time
Big brother is still watching
And stealing; what a crime
My days; time has depleted
My nights; too tired, spent
I have to work for money
To somehow pay the rent
With hands now in my pockets
And struggling for the green
I feel like I am losing
You all know what I mean
Economy has fallen
What’s risen is the cost
Of living each, every day
While feeling very lost
I look over my shoulders
Each day while in employ
That just causes misery
And seldom any joy
Seems the money’s running out
And soon it will be gone
May just have to sell the house
And move out on the lawn
Government, please work it out
The money’s not out there
We need your help, right away
But do you even care?
Unemployment’s at its worst
The jobs have fallen short
Have to boost economy
You have to give support
The people of America
They serve you tried and true
How’d you like it if they then
Had turned their backs on you?
It wouldn’t be so pretty
Now would it, please just think
You might end up on the street
With clothes that then would stink
