Gorgeous Winter
Frozen diamonds twinkle me awake
I feel the frigid air before I open my door
The white blue beauty of outdoors grabs my breath
I can barely speak; it is God’s work.
Icicles hang off my porch, glisteningly shiny.
Sparkles of well sculpted snow drifts greet me.
It is a winter wonderland, and I am entranced.
I feel like the North Queen of the Winter Fest.
The dog takes a whiff and hides behind me.
I laugh at her reluctance. The snow is luxurious.
There are not yet any footprints.
I stare with disbelief.
How can it be this beautiful every single time?
I fix myself a hot tea, and sit to stare out the window.
Should I fix a fire? My husband asks.
I care not. I am watching the most gorgeous scene of all.
