Goodnight X
I sit there in the silence
And just listen to the rain
Pounding on the windows,
And cry alone in pain
I’ve never felt so lonely
Without you I’m so frail
My body feels so lifeless
My face, so blank and pale
They say I’ll soon get over it
They say I’ll soon forget,
But my mind is on you always
You haven’t left me yet
I’ll look forward from this day
To seeing you again
To end this lifelong torture
To end this bitter pain
Each night I’ll light a candle
And raise a glass to you
A woman so phenomenal
In the world there are so few
