Goodbye's Missing Me
I knew someday you'd turn away.
You see, they always do.
The hardest thing for me right now?
The thought of losing you.
Still I knew the time would come,
it comes as no surprise.
At least for me, now you won't see
these teardrops in my eyes.
Goodbye is like a long lost friend,
but one I hate to see.
I can tell, I know so well
when goodbye starts missing me.
It comes from out of nowhere
but it's been there from the start.
Each time it seems to come and go
it takes another piece of my heart.
Until one day the day will come
if you look you'll surely see.
Though not moved on, I'm simply gone,
goodbye's all that's left of me.
Goodbye is like a long lost friend,
but one I hate to see.
I can tell, I know so well
when goodbye starts missing me.
