Goodbyes
i never got to say goodbye,
unspoken words, the tears i cried,
the sleepless nights, my endless prayers,
in hopes that you could hear me there,
your face, your smile, your safe embrace,
not one person could ever take your place,
i gave you every piece of me,
the only one who knew everything,
i've tried to move on, i try to let go,
you would never want me to be alone,
i pray one day God sends me that chance,
to love again, to learn to dance.
