Goodbye To Winter

A last hurrah of snow and ice
Winter's farewell, a parting sting.
But waiting there to take her place
The welcome arms of coming spring.

All around life is stirring
A reawakening mother earth.
The warming soil rejuvenating,
Bringing days of colour, and rebirth.

Short cold days, soon forgotten
As the sun sits higher in the sky.
Oh, the joy of changing seasons
Cherished each, as they pass by.

A beautiful coming of spring poem. Nicely done Gary. This flows so smoothly the rhymes are virtually invisible.
