Goodbye Sorrow

A solemn smile upon my face
While walking down these halls
Yet no one knows the hurt and pain
Nor can see my broken walls
A yearn to recieve a tight embrace
Someone close to touch
But everyone seems so far away
Can't seem to grasp or clutch
My head is filled with aches and pain
My eyes sting from the tears
My life will never return the same
From these dark, cold, relentless years
I fear for my eternity
The death of my soul behold
I long to return to my old personality
But seem's like it's on hold
Afraid to turn left or right
I say these words and cry
Alone left out in the dark night
One last sorrowful goodbye

Beautifully written. Your words flow straight to the heart. The emotions you display are brought forth so real to us. That takes talent to talk so eloquently from the heart.

Your poem touched my heart. I like the lines "I long to return to my old personality, but seems like it's on hold". Sounds like you are either at a crossroad in life or something keeps you from growing. That's what I'm hearing anyway. Nicely written.
