This is a poem of memorium for County Stadium. It was demolished to make way for a new ball park. It is also found in my book "Ripples"

Goodbye old friend You've been such a part of us all Of every correct and incorrect call A diamond for the girls The boys made it to first base Heroes were born here Zeroes too A place with many faces The home of "The Brew Crew" A Robin flew here One ran like a Deer Mollie, Rollie and Coop All would cheer Wallbangers and bombers Dreams of the seams Milwaukee, Wisconsin In memories You'll live in the hallows Of a park with a dome Remember you'll always have a plate To call home
