Goodbye My Love
Anguish and heartache I feel today
It will continue to get better day after day
I will weep for all the loss and pain
but cherish all that I will gain
Loss of love is always hard
In time I will be dealt new cards
Slowly leaving the sad memories behind
And cherishing all the ones that were kind
You will always remain close to my heart
But I had to be strong and force us apart
Over and over, we tried and tried
But in the end my hands were tied
I hope some day you will understand
It was an act of love to cut our band
I cannot imagine my life without you
My dear sweet wife, I never doubted you
It was an unbeatable battle, full of love and pain
A beautiful story there will always remain
We grew, and changed, and learned together
Now our bond needs to be severed
To open new possibilities for our lives
A friendship that will always survive
Find peace, my love...and happiness too
No one deserves it as much as you
