Goodbye My Love

Looking down undulating mountains with Their highs and dips, Reminding me of your long neck, your breasts, Your thighs and hips, Your miraculous face, running my finger down Your brow, your nose and lips, Your soft sensuous arms, your hands and your Sensitive finger tips. I’m brought back to reality by the roll and fall, The roaring fire, On the engine outside the window of the plane, Black smoke rises higher, Emergency lights come on, put on safety belts, May day, the situation seems dire, My mind goes to my love waiting for me, both Of us, strong with desire. Plunging down at an incredible speed, there are No mountains, but ocean, I swim in the warmth of your gentle hazel brown Eyes, I’m overcome with emotion, All I hear are screams and see people crying and Praying, chaos, commotion, We seem to be diving out of the sky, but I am not Afraid, for all I feel is eternal devotion! The right wing breaks away, and we thrust forward Doing a complete flip, I put my hand to my head, something feels wet, I’m Bleeding, I lose my grip, The pilot reels out of control we descend even faster, Now, everyone silent but hear my seat rip, I love you my darling, I’m so sorry you will feel such Sorrow, I’m beginning to slip!

A masterpiece by the Master (or is it Mistress) of verse! Kept me rapt to the end, Jenn. Many, Many thanks for your kind comments re the Prairie Farmer. I kinda wrote it thinking back about my Indiana farm days as a kid. I'm honored you considered it a fave. Best to you - BoB H

Thank-you Robert, what a kind comment and lovely compliment. I love outdoor life, never lived on a farm, although would have loved to, but enjoy the African bush! Days of our childhood never leave us! Hugs and Blessings, Jennifer.

When I first started reading I thought this would be a beautiful sensual poem but I was left with a sad feeling. I prefer sensual poems to end with making love not death, but that's just me. This was a wonderfully written gripping piece, Jenn, nicely done my dear friend. Hugs, John

I know, I agree with you John, but my muse thought differently and chose to go the route of a horror movie! Thank-you for a awesome comment my friend, sorry I spoilt your ending, but glad the story gripped you!. Hugs and Blessings, Jennifer.

- You really have your head clear, my friend ... with these beautiful thoughts :) - ... everything indicates that something is wrong ... the plane loses altitude in fast speed ... I really wonder what we are thinking in these minutes ... - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Personally I think that human beings can only take so much, and hopefully pass out before any impact, although it is so fast, that I'm sure the inevitable happens before they know it - very very sad, but true Hugs, Jennifer.

Thank-you Vijay, it is dreadful to think these situations actually exist and frightfully happen - I must admit I fly on planes, but certainly never comfortably or happily, merely because I have to get to a destination! Thank-you for a wonderful comment Vijay, Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Felt so sad that I was responsible for the husband not completing his ride Richard! Love and death have appeared in love poems for centuries, I thought this scenario would make a good read, very sadly did I write it! Thank you Richard for all your wonderful comments and support, Hugs, Jennifer.

G'day Jennifer … highly emotional and actually left me nervous and sorrowful. I always wonder what goes through the minds of the doomed passengers and crew - thank you Jennifer - Lindsay

I know, we hear of these accidents, we see them on documentaries and the news, but here I am writing a poem about a disastrous crash! Well it's only a poem, but so close to reality - thank you Lindsay for a comment that makes me feel the same! Hugs, Jennifer.

Oh, my gosh, I am full of turbulence and can't land my own thoughts or emotions after reading that. What drama, and splendidly delivered with romantic intensity thru a woman your pen made so brave that her courage only added more sorrow to the drama. Good golly goldfish, I'm all shook up - way to go! Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Hi CayCay I can understand you became full of turbulence during this read - believe it or not, I was just as sad writing it, but the poem chose its own path! This happens in reality so often - one cant help but remember the 9/11 horrific scenes! Thank-you for an awesome comment - love and hugs Jenny.

Wow! Jennifer, What an intense rollercoaster of emotions. I felt joy for the two characters in your story. The love they shared was rare. But my feelings of joy turned to sorrow to see two lovers torn apart by a horrible accident. I agree with WW, it was like watching a good movie or reading a good book. Well done my friend. Have a fantastic day:-) Alexis

No movie, it got lost with the black box unfortunately! Hi ^WW^ a great comment, love and tragedy, a potent combination, sad to say it exploded. It felt real to me as I was writing it, it worked out really sad, but how many unfortunate people have in fact died in airplane accidents! Love and light my friend. Jennifer.

A sad tragic end to a beautiful romance - I tried to make it sound as real as possible, I even had a cry whilst writing it! Guess if you felt everything, I achieved what I was trying hard to do! Thank-you dear friend - hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Love is passionate, emotional and carefree- yet dangerous too. You have expressed this so beautifully my dear friend. There is a light touch of sensuality. A touch of sadness lingers within as well. You are a very talented writer. Hugs, Brandy

You seem to have found your steamy, sensual side, Jennifer. Blend in the element of danger, as you have here, and you have quite a potent combination. :) gw
