I am thankful Halloween has passed Even though it came and trampled fast I liked the smiling pumpkins and fun for kids But there can be evil hidden under secret lids Lids of a façade, hiding bad intention and things An easy place for evil to hide, that misery brings Sadly, it marks a time for fear to celebrate Only courage can create good acts to initiate Darkness that lurks, behind costumes and fun Remains in the shadows to reach everyone I say goodbye with ease, on to the best of Thanksgiving When love, company and sharing feeds the living Heidi Sands 11/1/21
