Goodbye, Dearest Soul
I know it's time for me to really let it go.
I cannot hold on to thee anymore -
Not because I hate thee,
But because I love thee so much,
But I cannot walk this path any longer.
Yes, it hurts,
But let the healer of heart
mend my fragile, broken soul anew.
Letting go - the best and final solution.
If I don't take a step closure,
Towards thy heart,
Where my soul once dwelled
If my actions seem harsh and cold,
Please don't get hurt, never feel betrayed -
I'm trying to heal myself,
Deep within, 'am broken -
And I couldn't carry those pieces on.
I knew from the strart I shouldn't fall for thee,
I knew we couldn't be together,
Yet I really walked right into thy light.
That's my greatest mistake ever.
I'll regret not walking with thee -
Nor feel remorse knowing thee.
I love thee, thy company -
But the lover's path, isn't written for us.
So, I wish life's greatest joy,
Let the universe conspire for thy peace,
Let no man feel or find jealous,
For our love was pure but brief.
And if thou allow me,
let my soul love thee in silence -
Without remorse or pain nor envy.
Goodbye dearest soul,
I'll lose thee now -
Yet thou'll sit forever,
Within my soul's secret chamber.
