Goodbye Darkness My Old Friend

You have forever stood by my side day after day you were there
Always willing to go for the ride yeah you and I were quiet a pair
Every morning as I awoke it was you who was standing over me
As in all the words you spoke it was your point that I came to see

We were almost like a team you lead the way and I followed behind
And no matter how things would seem it was you that I would find
So happy in just seeing my face that once again I was next to you
Stealing every last bit of my grace in the concealing of what is true

So I 'm telling you we're finished, I don't want to see you anymore
Your power has been diminished as has everything you had in store
I have a new Glory in my heart and have now rediscovered my soul
For you there is no longer a part in saying you no longer have a role

Your stuff is in a bag outside for I have not hate for you but sadness
Not in knowing that you died but in now looking at all of your mess
To all you others out there if this guy comes knocking on your door
Show him the Cross you wear, such a Light that darkness will deplore

Woah an impressive metaphorical, allegorical and sarcastic ode to darkness of the soul that can only be dispelled by divine light. Artistic poetic and causes emotions. Nice to read u again, the great rhyming too.

An outpouring of emotions that surges up from the heart and splashes against the page. Emile. #7
