Goodbye

I come home to see you
the face I know well
The face I hold true
But now I cant tell

There is something wrong here
Something sad something heart wrenching
It has to be something I fear
For if not you wouldn't be sitting crying

"What is it love tell me"
"It is your Grandfather he has fallen ill"
This can't be
I drop and lay completly still

This is not happening again
How bad this time?
will this time end his pain
Will i walk and hear the church bells chime

I walk to the open casket and there he is
The man that i looked up to for many years
I lean down and give his forehead a gentle kiss
And its impossible to hold the tears
