Goodbye

I must say goodbye to my addiction And goodbye to the violence In my heart. Saying farewell to my Former self. It may be difficult, At times, But it's just the start To a new journey Of the heart. Where pain no longer taints The pattern of my life's quilt. There comes a time for acceptance. To accept joy into my heart, As it bursts through The icy walls That are surrounded by doubt. I must stop, I must dive head first into recovery, To say hello to A new version of me.
