Good Night

When you put the warm quilt over your head, And when – at last - you feel the soothing silence, Look! A magic carpet flew in, so leave your bed To dream nice dreams about you and me, for instance… And when in space your dreams meet mine by chance, When their twisted tracks intersect in the night, Give them a hug, and let them laugh and dance, Let them shine like the stars in the sky by moonlight. And when tomorrow you open your sleepy eyes, And when the sun invites you to the new day, When the flying carpet flies off and this night dies, Keep the unreal dreams in your heart. Let them stay…
