Good Friday Thoughts

Good Friday Thoughts

Christ gave His life for us long ago,
That we, too, might rise one day,
By His most heavenly grace,
And live in God's holy estate!

I so admire the people all through
the centuries,
Who paid the price for our liberty,
Under the earth they do lie.

While wild men and women march
through American streets,
Demanding something for nothing,
An ignominious sight to see!

Life is not a handout, it takes
backbone to get what you want.
God gave us all unique talents,
Do use them to get what you need.

Life on earth was not designed
to be heaven.
That's, a very special place~
Where, hopefully, we all can be,
by not living in pride-run and
shame filled, self-pitying disgrace.

But think and do for others the very best
we can.
Such a small thing Christ asks of us:
Endless love and caring, for all our fellow-man!
