Good Enough

You say your looking for good enough. I fell in love with what I thought was. Turns out you didn’t see me as good enough. My heart broke and my self image tainted. Then you pulled away and it was me you hated. Making every excuse that everything was my fault. Made me try so hard to prove myself since it was my fault. But it was never about what I did or who I was. It was about the person you were and what your freedom would cost. So many memories but I try to kill them with your harsh words remembering we are now enemies. My love has faded but the pain has paid it. I may not be good enough for you but for someone else I am a treasure through and through!
