Good Deeds Go Unnoticed

Why do others just remember
The bad things you do forever
One or two mistakes and you
Hear of them your lifetime through
But the good things you've accomplished
Seem to disappear and vanish
Without a trace of "good job"
Helping others is so hard
When you want to do what's right
But darkness covers up the light
Every time mistakes occur
Deeds of goodness are a blur
No thank you's for what you've done
Your kindness just goes undone
As your yelled at more and more
Your good faith walks out the door
Knocking to get right back in
When others need you once again
This roller coasters up and down
What is going to be found
Sweet voices to recognize
The times you have always tried
To help and be a team player
Or a mean voice that will slay ya
With harsh words that condenscend
When will this ride ever end
It's always a daily battle
Your nerves start to shake and rattle
With so much anticipation
Good times or bad aggravation
Will you be right on the top
Or take a fast and deep drop
To the bottom where you'll stay
Until you start to climb your way
Back out with one more good day
Where you want to always stay

I love this Robin! You can feel the power of the truth, through every and every words. Great Job

robin, it seems that way with some people, but other people not so much. I hope you find people in your life to make you feel positive about yourself and not putting you down. I enjoyed seeing this poem of yours tonight.

"No good deed goes unpunished" comes to mind. I totally agree with what Becca said. It's also said that character is what we do when no one is watching. Great write, Sweet Pea! <3
