Gone with everlasting love
As midnight approaches, your day will begin
So many years passed, but your day it is again
I have written about you often, it will never get old
Like all the changing seasons, I watch unfold
A broken heart from loss, still holds the cracks seen
Like imprints in fallen snow, once seen as pristine
I write with depth, not with pain for readers to see
I write with forever thoughts, in your memory
It is you willing to reach in the sky, giving me stars to shine
In the darkest of times, you represented a shrine
Because the sacrifice of your life, elevates far above
Anything someone could do, gone with everlasting love
