We used to catch them by the bucketsful when we were kids while Dad caught the bass.

Delightful. And also thoughtful! Short poems can say a lot. I am very fond of cinquains and haiku, although I don't write them often.

I like them, Barbara, but I must confess I basically turn to them when my brain is sort of dry! I find they stimulate my muses.
