Gone But Never
She told me I was special
And I had a lot to give,
I would touch on people's feelings
Share a better way to live,
To make the best, a happy life
Become a mother and a wife,
That God, in time, would take us all
We have to wait until we're called,
And then she calmly told me why
To be prepared for her to die,
She named me Faith, in all belief
I was her strength and her relief,
She said to me, 'you'll be all right'
'It's time we both give up the fight',
I smelled her hair and kissed her lips
I squeezed her hand, her fingertips,
A deep embrace to show I cared
To lose my mom, I was so scared,
My eyes filled up with warm, wet tears
Her last breath gone came my worst fears,
Mom, I will love you, always, forever
In my life, you're Gone...but Never
