Gone

A heart once warm now lies heavy, cold as stone - weight I almost treasure.

Interesting way of penning the thought expressed in your comment to Richard. The people who do the hurting of others usually don't have a clue what is going on in another's heart/mind. Thanks for dropping by. Your comment on my work "Bougainvillea" was uplifting. Sara

Hi Sara, thanks for your thoughts.... Of course it can be looked at in a different light of it being a person passed and the pain of grief being almost treasured in order to hold onto more of that person... A few ways to consider this one liner I think.... Appreciated. Happy New Year!

Somehow the weight makes it feel not so empty. A great one liner!

Thanks Richard, that's exactly right. I believe as time heals one person to some degree there can be satisfaction from knowing the other is finally realising what has passed and been lost. I think this is necessary for healing to start on both sides. Good to see you...

For one line there is so much depth to this phrase. Almost as if the pain is accepted because it was expected. Not too sure if I got that right but I know what you are saying, I've been there, I just don't know how to express as well as you have.

Thank you, I guess sometimes life's lessons are etched to be forever remembered no matter how well fate deals next hand... To let the heart and mind bleed out has brought much inspiration to my writing along side people watching. I am sorry to hear of your plight, but to know it is past tense I hope your new hand is as good as mine...
