-gone-

Dizain:
-gone-

The clock tower strikes the hour of three in the morning,
And all the children in the town are sleeping so silently.
The crier is out a-crying, his voice calling and bell ringing.
The wind will hiss at the glass windows, so violently,
The child that is still awake will back away quietly.
They will cover their head with the blanket, shivering,
But it will not halt the darkness from crawling.
As the child cries, they will wonder what they’ve done wrong,
As the darkness creeps, it’s voice low and calling.
In the morrow, people will wonder where the child’s gone.
