~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gentle rains melt our Hearts, with the sincerest Rays of sunshine laughter Erasing the darkness with Light so melodious, some Would say there is no pain Silencing the music that is Alive with grace, love fraught In abiding insecurities, our Emotions a tangle of sweetest Hopes, feelings in songs Quite beautiful, amazing are Hearts and souls, those Who remember the rain that Taught us about joys we tell Ourselves will always be of Pieces within our stories, saddest Reflections, yet a fond thought. Our sincerest laughter With some pain is fraught; Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought. Percy Bysshe Shelly – To a Skylark
A very lovely approach to the golden shovel contest. This is one I will not even attempt to do. I am not the kind of free verse writer that he seems to like.
A small amount of light can scare away the darkness. I enjoyed your poem.
Very well done, completely agree with Jan. Its beautiful Gina. To take such random words and form them into something so meaningful is a valiant effort. You have produced a wonderful poem, not unlike that of Shelly himself, and he wasn't confined to all those restrictions as you were. BOL Gina it should do extremely well.
