On a cloudless, sapphire sky afternoon, frosty and cold,
Yesterday's snowflakes sparkle, awash in sunshine gold,
Redbird sings from its powdery tree, on the white lawn,
With deepest of regrets, that all the flowers have gone.
Scarlet sunset will be coming soon, red roses in the sky,
The golden hands of the clock, always lead to goodbye.
Laughter from a distance, there is sledding on Plum Hill,
Just a short amount of time, from pearl moonlight thrill.
