On a cloudless, sapphire sky afternoon, frosty and cold, Yesterday's snowflakes sparkle, awash in sunshine gold, Redbird sings from its powdery tree, on the white lawn, With deepest of regrets, that all the flowers have gone. Scarlet sunset will be coming soon, red roses in the sky, The golden hands of the clock, always lead to goodbye. Laughter from a distance, there is sledding on Plum Hill, Just a short amount of time, from pearl moonlight thrill.

Time is so elusive, like the future and the past, always just out of reach. All we have is the moment, which is gone before we know it. Thank you for your very nice comments. Have a blessed holiday. :)

No worries, Gershon. Memories of childhood sledding caused me to take a sudden 'shine' to a wintry topic. :D

There is a certain sadness I read between these lines. Nicely written, Evelyn.

One can't help feeling a bit sad when thinking of time's passage, and those we've loved and lost. Thank you for the lovely compliment.
