Golden
Walked the world for a while
Endless mile on mile
Steady searching for sunshine
Each day
Try to live as I should
The glass always half full
As I seek out the good
On my way
I am blessed more than most
For the Truth that I know
And I try hard to show
This light of mine
For I live and I breathe
In a place that is free
I am lucky indeed
I am golden
I have seen fire and rain
Cursed the sky through my pain
I have wept in refrain
In the dark
At the end of myself
There has always been help
Refilling the well
Of my heart
I hold on to my faith
For my soul has been saved
Jesus loves me and He
Makes a way
I'm still this side of dead
A roof over my head
I am warm, I am fed
I am golden
Walk the walk in these shoes
As I spread the Good News
Whether ears choose or refuse
To hear
For I know God's peace
A good woman loves me
I have true friends indeed
I am golden
At the end of the road
There's a place that I know
And I'm going to go
One sweet day
Golden the streets
Love ones waiting on me
And my saviour I'll see
Face to face
I am blessed more than most
For the Truth that I know
And I try hard to show
This light of mine
For I live and I breathe
In a place that is free
I am lucky indeed
I am golden
