Going My Way

.

Are you going my way? He asked.
I shook my head no
because....
I am going my own way

In my own time
with my own ideas,
my own thoughts,
my own spirit guides.

This guy asked me another question
But I glared him down and he left.

It has taken me a long time to get here
But now that I am,
no one is going to distract me.

I am journeying toward the destiny of my heart
it is easier for me to get there
if there is silence, so I can concentrate on me.

Your sense of humor is really showing here, Caren. Sometimes I wish I could be transmogrified into a fetchingly handsome young man. Then, I realize it ain't gonna happen, so I live with being a fetchingly dignified old coot!
