Going Home

As you sit here in honor of me.
Know I’m with you and always will be.

I thank you for the love you have shown.
But the time has come I must go alone.

Do not weep for me as I depart.
I will forever be in your heart.

There aren’t any handshakes in this goodbye.
Rejoice my loss for I’m in paradise.

I’ll miss my life I savored so much,
My family, my friends, a loved ones touch.

I need no luggage just hand me my comb.
I do not need much for I’m going home.

Wow! what a beautiful goodbye, somehow makes death an easier concept to handle, 'I do not need much for I’m going home', that is a powerful line, and a beautiful message, amazing piece. DF
