Going Ape
Monkey sits atop the big box.
Monkey plays with a little fox.
Monkey, monkey can't catch me.
Catch the policeman behind tree.
Apes - Find your capes and fly.
Higher and higher into the sky.
Up a branch, a smaller ape hides.
Scared, so alone - time he abides.
Gorillas in higher mountain mists.
Have trophy heads, and the wrists.
Eating bugs, from small branch.
Yummy, delicious, ape sandwich.
Drunken fools go ape at parties.
Some are dumb, some smarties.
So all in all - to monkey around
Means an inner laughter's found.
