God's Wonderful Plan

GOD’S WONDERFUL PLAN

Ages and ages ago, God was alone in the sky,
He thought of a wonderful plan to redeem such a sinner as I.
Ages and ages ago, God saw me here on the earth
As a new babe to be born there in a natural birth.
He knew every sin I’d commit, all of the terrible shame,
So He sent Jesus to earth to take for me all the blame.
He gave me one simple choice: I could reject or receive,
I could fall there on my knees and in Him there to believe.
One day there in a room I humbled there in a prayer,
I received Jesus by faith; I know that He saved me there.
Through all the years since that day I know how I’ve failed Him so,
But He forgives when I pray and shows me the way then to go.
God has a wonderful plan! I am so thankful today
I will rejoice here below and give Him thanks when I pray.
God has a wonderful plan, making that mansion above,
Where I forever will stay, thanking Him there for His love.
I never deserved this great plan; God made it so anyway
Out of abundance of love He had for me on that day.
Thank You, dear God, for that plan; thank You, my dear Jesus, too,
I cannot say it enough: I’m glad I trusted in You.
Help me, dear Lord, every day, willing to follow Your plan
In my life now as Your child till there before You I stand.
