God's Testimonies Are Wonderful - Psalm 119: 129-136
Consider the testimonies of God
what a joy they are to keep
reminding one's self what a privilege
to dive into His word so very deep
Its depth isn't that very difficult
for He's promised all He'll explain
at the right time by His spirit
such blessings pouring down like rain
God's word is always full of light
only one word describes it, wonderful
such a longing down in the heart
pity those dangers for being a fool
O Lord turn and be so gracious
upon those that love your name
keep me in your full redemption
your precepts are my living flame
Shine your face upon your own
your statutes help me to obey
I grieve for those disobeying your law
may they turn yet leaning to pray
(This is my " Psalm 119 project" which I began to write a couple of years ago, so this is the seventeenth poem of twenty-two poems I've written over that time to cover all of Psalm 119.)
