God's Radiant Light
We are God’s children, and precious are we,
but we should listen to what He had to say
to his disciples, who gave us His words.
God told them that He was the way.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life,”
and not only that, but “the light of the world.”
the light that Christ spoke of is so divine
we can’t comprehend it . . . it’s infinity-swirled.
Can you imagine its pulsating bliss?
If you saw it, could you turn away?
It’s yours by His grace, and it’s the gift
we celebrate each Easter, the chosen remembrance day.
If we could see it and touch each gold ray,
our hearts would sing poetry, for love would reign.
Peace would abide. Envy, hate and greed
would vanish – no more would we see their ugly stain.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
How I would love to feel that radiant light
emanating from our Lord – enveloping us all.
Oh, how glorious it would be. Oh, what pure delight!
