God's Plans
The journey of the inner soul is an adventure of the mind
The fear of failure dominates the path you cannot find
You start rebelling as a youth to soothe your sorted past
Surrendering to lethal ways, emotions that don’t last
The scheme of life then sustains a disregard for good
The psyche has fooled you once again to think you understood
Matters of the heart incite a tear from God’s own eye
He challenges your distant stance but he hears no reply
Motivated by your pain, avenging shattered dreams
The choice is made to blame yourself, the end justifies the means
Retaliation takes it’s toll, revenge is not so sweet
Alone your left to lick your wounds, experiencing defeat
Your pursuit now takes a twisted turn to rectify your wrongs
Repentance comes a bit too late you find you don’t belong
Consumed with sorrow for the loss you fall on bended knee
You plead with time to take you back or end the misery
Adjusting time to fit your needs you choose a solitary path
Never daring to open up to expose a bitter wrath
Foolish clues are left behind on the passage of mistrust
You quench your fears determined pessimism is a must
Attractiveness now obsolete, a body once was fine
Gives up the struggle to compete and now just prays for time
Much too busy to contest nature’s irritating ruse
No longer able to invest in dreams you’ll never use
An aggressive self-assertion, an annoying point of view
Assist in the discomfort of the idle part of you
The arrogance of freedom and the mortifying pride
Yearns for simple innocence left withering inside
The taste of life is bitter sweet, God’s plans have been revealed
You try your best to seize control while waiting to be healed.
